How To Clear Widgets On Samsung S3

2 Methods:

Personalize your Samsung Galaxy S3 by customizing the home screen with your preferred apps and widgets. The Galaxy S3 can have up to seven home screens, and you can rearrange your apps and widgets in any order you want. You can also create folders to help organize everything, along with editing how the screens transition when you swipe through them.

Method 1: Lollipop/Marshmallow

  1. 1

To navigate between your home screens you can do one of two things; swipe your finger across the screen horizontally or tap and hold the little home screen icon (little house) until a slider appears.

If you are done adding everything you want to your seven home screens, you can now rearrange the app icons and widgets in any order you want. Your default home screen is usually the middle screen. Then you can normally swipe to the left or right of the default screen to get to the other screens. To change/rearrange the home screen positions in the order you wish, follow these steps:

  1. 1

Select the screen you want to rearrange and touch and hold on it.

  2. 2

Drag it to the new location

    .

You can put it next to the default screen, or in another location.

  3. 3

Just verify the changes for the new placement for your new screen

There is no option "Add to Home screen" on Spring Galaxy S3 after my last update.

With the latest update, you can now just go to your Home screen and do a pinching gesture to view your Home screen panels and configure them. Updated instructions for the new update have been added to the article.

You can follow the steps below to be able to add the icon to your home screen.

1. Visit your application menu.

2. Press and hold over the app icon you want to bring to the main screen.

3. As you are holding - the app will present itself on your home screen.

4. Simply drag it to where you want it to be placed and release to have it saved to your home screen.

Nothing happens with the "touch and hold"?

Nothing happens with the "touch and hold"

Restart your phone and see if it works this time. It may also help to clean your screen as when it is dirty with debris, even oil, it may make it less sensitive to touch. This may be the reason your phone is not recognizing your commands. Use a lens cloth to clean the screen.

I don't see "Add to Home Screen."

If your phone has been updated already from Android 4.1 to 4.x. you can simply go to your phone home screen and perform a pinching gesture to get access to the Home Screen Panels, so you can configure any or all of them. Follow these steps to add more "Home Screen Panels":

1. Go to the list of applications on the phone.

2. Look for any applications you want on your home screen panel, tap and hold the application you want and it will direct you to the phone home screen panel.

3. Select the phone Home screen panel you want to place the application on, and simply drag it to the left or drag it to the right.

If you want to reduce or add phone home screen panels, you can simply pinch the phone home screen. It will show you all the phone screen panels. You will also find a blank panel with a plus sign to add a panel, and a trash bin for you to remove or delete a panel.

"Add to Home Screen" appears with a smaller font and does not respond.
